Reston already has some really good places to eat. But this is one opening I’m especially excited about.

Ebbitt House, the new restaurant from Clyde’s Restaurant Group, is targeting an October 2026 opening at Reston Station. The concept brings the influence of Washington’s Old Ebbitt Grill to Northern Virginia. The Burn’s opening update

I’ve always been a big fan of Clyde’s and everything they do. And with what’s planned here, I think Ebbitt House could be a game changer for Reston’s dining scene.

What’s Coming to Ebbitt House?

According to the restaurant’s official website, Ebbitt House will sit across from the new JW Marriott at Reston Station. Plans include:

  • A 275-seat dining room
  • Two indoor bars
  • A 125-seat patio with its own outdoor bar
  • American classics, oysters, and a raw bar
  • Two private dining rooms

The announced opening month is October 2026. An exact opening day is not listed on the website yet. Explore Ebbitt House

The patio is one of the details that stands out to me. That’s a substantial outdoor space, and it gives this restaurant the potential to become somewhere people gather for more than a special occasion.

Why I Think This Could Be a Game Changer

For me, it starts with the group behind it.

When you’re already a fan of Clyde’s, a new restaurant from that team gets your attention. Add the Old Ebbitt connection, a large patio, and the Reston Station location, and there’s a lot to look forward to.

Reston already gives people good reasons to go out locally. My hope is that Ebbitt House adds another place you immediately think of when someone says, “Where should we meet for dinner?”

A place to bring visiting friends. Grab a meal after work. Celebrate something. Or just head out because you want a good evening close to home.

We’ll have to see how it delivers once the doors open. But this is absolutely an opening I’ll be watching.

What This Means if You’re Thinking About Living in Reston

When you’re choosing where to live, it helps to picture your ordinary week.

Where would you meet friends? Where would you take family visiting from out of town? How far would you want to travel for dinner?

Those details help you figure out whether a location fits your life. An opening like Ebbitt House is another reason to spend time around Reston Station and see how the area feels to you.

My advice: visit at the times you’d actually be there. Try the drive after work, walk around, and explore the nearby dining options. You’ll learn things that a listing photo can’t tell you.

Thinking about selling your current home and making a move? Get an estimate of your home’s value here. Then we can talk about what you want next—and whether Reston belongs on your list.
