New at The Boro: Open Road Brings a Biergarten to Tysons

What’s new: Open Road Outpost & Biergarten is now operating at The Boro, at 8354 Broad Street in Tysons. It adds another option for dinner, watching a game and spending time outside in this part of Northern Virginia.

What to expect: The restaurant describes roughly 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with TVs throughout the dining room and patio. Its menu includes burgers, house-smoked wings, wood-fired dishes and shareable plates. The outdoor biergarten offers food and drink service and lawn games.

Chris’s take: I haven’t visited this new location yet, so this is a look at what’s opened—not a food review. If you’re exploring Tysons, it is another stop to consider while getting a feel for the area.

What to know before you go

The restaurant and outdoor biergarten have different hours. As checked September 23, the operator lists the restaurant as closed Mondays and opening at 11 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The biergarten is listed for Wednesday through Saturday, 4–9 p.m., weather permitting. Confirm hours directly before heading out, especially if the outdoor space is your main reason for going.

How this fits a Tysons home search

Nearby restaurants can help you picture an ordinary evening in a neighborhood. A visit is also a chance to test the actual trip from a home you’re considering: the driving route, parking, sidewalks and crossings. A Tysons address alone doesn’t tell you whether a particular restaurant will be convenient for you.
