What’s replacing the former Saks Fifth Avenue at Tysons Galleria? Onelife Fitness has announced a 110,000-square-foot flagship club, with an opening planned for late 2027. The company released the news October 1. Read the original announcement.

What’s planned inside?

The announced amenities include:

  • A 14,000-square-foot strength-training area.
  • Indoor pickleball and a six-lane indoor saltwater pool.
  • Strike Boxing, Reformer Pilates, and HYROX training.
  • A Kids Club.
  • A hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and recovery services including red-light therapy and HydroMassage.

These are planned features, rather than amenities available to use today. The company’s Tysons Galleria club page also lists the location as coming in 2027.

What does this mean for living near Tysons Galleria?

For someone comparing homes in Tysons and McLean, this is a future amenity to keep on the list. If you regularly swim, lift, or take classes, consider how a gym trip would fit between home, work, and your other weekly stops.

The practical test is the actual trip. Visit the area at the time you would normally exercise. Check the route, crossings if you plan to walk, and access to the shopping center. A nearby destination is most useful when you can comfortably make it part of your routine.

This could appeal to residents who want several fitness activities in one place. It may be less relevant if your building already has the facilities you use, you prefer a smaller studio, or you need a gym immediately.

What should residents know before making plans?

When will it open?

The original release gives a late-2027 target, without a specific opening day. Treat that as a plan, not a guaranteed date.

How much will membership cost?

The announcement and location page reviewed for this story do not provide Tysons Galleria membership pricing. Before joining, ask about enrollment fees, membership tiers, and any additional charges or reservations for the activities you want.

Will this increase nearby home values?

The announcement does not establish a home-price impact. For a purchase or sale, compare the particular property with similar homes; a planned gym alone is not a basis for assigning a price premium.
